Plants
We offer many unique varieties of plants either as herbs, vegetables or flowers. We sell most of our plants by the tray or as single pots. We strive on the quality of our plants. They all start off grown in the greenhouse, then we harden them off by moving them permanently outside which is a better environment for them than in the greenhouses. Outside they get the fresh rainwater, winds to strengthen their stems, and the beneficial insects to control the pests, so we try to move them outside as soon as possible. West Star Farm 2011 Plant Varieties
WHEN AND WHERE TO BUY: We are at the Dane County Farmers Market and the Westside Community Market most Saturdays during the plant season (May - mid June). We also welcome you to come browse our large selection at the farm, please just call ahead to make sure someone is available (608) 239-7570. We are not here on weekends, but you can call and meet us at the farm Saturday after the downtown markets are over (around 1:45-2:30). You can also email us your order and come pick it up at the farm or pick it up at one of the Saturday farmer's markets downtown.
